A beautiful home with a furry friend at the door!! We are not in NYC anymore and already my mind is whirling with ideas just from seeing how much light there is!!!
I met Puja and Vinod at our birthing class. We spent a weekend learning, partially in awe and partially terrified over what our bodies were going to do to get that baby out! Funny I remember wondering what their baby would look like. As if the universe heard my wondering, around 9 months later I was meeting the little one, camera in hand!
I love this shot of Puja, Dhilan and Jackson the dog in their living room. Capturing real moments that are everyday occurrences is one of the highlights of being a photographer for me.
There he is, GORGEOUS! He has the biggest and darkest round eyes, this one will surely be melting hearts along the way!
About that light. Light is a funny thing, because even the most beautiful room without light will not be as good in a photographer’s mind as a regular room with incredible light! So there it was, intense light streaming in from their glass front door! These guys were great, they didn’t question my photo craziness as I asked them to stand in the doorway while several gorgeous rooms around us stood empty!
So sweet! Little Dhilan is a nice combination of both Mom and Dad!
Seriously, is he not delicious? I love the grins babies make when they keep their mouths closed and it makes their cheeks even chubbier!
And then of course I love when they do a belly laugh and show you their TEETH!!!
This image is why I love portrait location photography. You never know what your going to get and you have to be looking and waiting for moments to happen. When I stopped focusing on how amazing the light behind him made him look, I stood up and walked over to my bag and saw this- the cutest shadow I have ever seen! I think Dhilan was impressed by his shadow too!
Afterwards we went into the front room and played around with some holiday card ideas that I will NOT be showing you! But here are some really fun other ideas we did. Dhilan was such a good boy and just sat and smiled, giggled and cooed!
When it was time for a diaper change I got to see his amazing room! Puja and Vinod did a great job of decorating it in such a fun and unique way!

Everywhere you looked in his room there was a little detail that was put there with love. So creative- such a great place for a little baby to grow!
Off to Mom and Dad’s bed for some goofing around!

On our way out to play in the leaves we did a family picture with the amazing doggy too!
How wonderful is Jackson the dog? Jackson not only allowed but seemed to enjoy Dhilan playing with his mouth!
