Our Easter weekend get away to Lake Tahoe

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! Regardless of what you celebrate, let’s hope chocolate was involved!

We as a family love long vacations like everyone else.  But we have noticed that taking long weekends to places nearby also seems to do the trick. And when traveling with a child and a puppy, well long weekends seem to be the perfect amount of time!

We are so blessed that our new neck of the woods includes the stunning Lake Tahoe region.  If you have never been here- put in on your bucket list now!

We just missed the great ski conditions but had no trouble finding some good sledding spots near Emerald Bay. The fun part is, after sledding, we drove 20 minutes to another spot and enjoyed a warm hike by the lake.

If you are near the Emerald Bay area, we can’t say enough about the Burger Lounge! The burgers are SO good and everyone is so kind. The best part, they are dog-friendly!Now about this lake! The water is so clear and so blue it looks like it’s not real. Seriously, I kept lifting up my sunglasses thinking it was my lenses. If your children love to climb on big boulders like Jaxson does- Lake Tahoe is a great place for that!

I decided to try out the Pano feature on my new iPhone 8 plus- I was so impressed! In fact this phone keeps impressing me, all these images were taken with my iPhone.  It sure is making me pretty lazy about bringing my DSLR out on family adventures!

If you are curious about places to eat, stay or hike with a dog and a small child in South Lake Tahoe, be sure to send me a message!
