Rachel & Scott’s wedding has been blogged in two parts, if you missed the first part please click here to see the getting ready images, their first look and some fun we had in Central Park taking pictures!
The dramatic stage was set at the congregation of Rodeph Sholom! Rachel & Scott’s chuppah was so incredibly beautiful, created by the florist Spitz and Peck and their friend Jamie Elaine. Jamie’s work will be focused on later in this post!
Rachel and Scott created a guest book out of their engagement pictures- it was such a fun way to use those images and also have their guest leave them kind words! Now they will have a book that they will certainly keep and look through often with smiles on their faces.
LOVE this idea they did, the families set up a table with pictures from all the generations of weddings! So special to see these cherished family heirlooms.
Not a detail was left out!
Before the wedding ceremony there is a smaller ceremony to sign the Ketuba. Here Rachel and then Scott’s parents wish them well and give them advise for their future.
Scott checks to make sure that Rachel is who she says to be and then places veil over her.
After signatures are placed on the marriage license they are officially married (even though they still have not had their wedding ceremony, legally now they are married) Their family and friends are singing to them here, it is such a joyous occasion!
Now its time for the wedding, Rachel is walked half way by her parents…
And then after walking alone she waits to be met by Scott.
In the Jewish religion the whole family stand under the chuppah.
Kiss the bride shot from above!
Married!!!! I love how they are swinging arms!! So happy!
The scene was set for the reception by the incredible tunes of Hank Lane.
After their first dance Scott picked Rachel up and swung her around, so sweet! Look at that dress!
The hora!! I love this dance!!
Alright Im not sure what is being said here but it cracks me up! And up they go!
A beautiful and very meaning part of this wedding was their chuppah. This was created for them by hand by their friend Jamie Elaine! You can inquire about her work here.
I usually don’t show the ring shot, sometimes I just feel it is to personal to show on the web. BUT this time I could not leave it out because the rings were EXTRA special! Rachel and Scott made these rings themselves at New York Wedding Ring. I’m not joking!
The dancing begins!! Not sure what the above dance is called but I like to call it the high 5 dance!
Yes, they went there. Awesome.
Another unique ceremony that Rachel and Scott had was to honor Scott’s parents. Its called a Mezinka and its to honor them for they have just seen their last child married.
Rachel’s parent’s dance to their wedding song.
Not sure what happened here, but blue dresses descended upon the dance floor!
And sad but true, but all fun celebrations have to come to an end. Rachel and Scott we wish you so much happiness and good health for your future!
