Shannon & Jeff’s Engagement Session

Shannon and Jeff’s engagement session took place in the Meat Packing district of NYC on a gorgeous evening!  They started the shoot off by having a cocktail since one of them was not as ready for a photo shoot as the other, can you guess?  No worries Jeff, the men are never jumping for joy at the idea of taking pictures!  My personal goal is at the end for the guy to say, “that wasn’t that bad’ and I think we got there!

Read below for the story of the proposal!

“It happened at night after we both worked on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010.  We stayed in for dinner that night and Shannon was preparing a delicious dinner.   I got home around 7pm and came in with 2 bags.  One bag was some  products from Bath and Body Works and the other was a bag from Sephora.  The ring was in a box from Sephora under some tissue paper.  Shannon liked the bags and opened the Bath and Body Works bag .  When I purchased some gifts for her at Sephora, I had the person get me a big enough box to hide the ring in its box under the tissue paper.  I wrapped the ring box with white ribbon and wrote on it “will you marry me”.  She took out the box and  was very happy with what I got her at Sephora but didn’t notice the extra box under the tissue paper at first.  Then she moved away the extra tissue paper and saw the box and smiled, and I asked her to marry me.  The ring looked spectacular on her finger and we started calling our family and friends.” Jeff

I love the street art that can be found in this area of NYC.

We couldn’t resist, and I can’t think of a more perfect “bride to be” to be placed here!  Oh and we didn’t write that, we found it! LOVE!

This location was one of Shannon’s incredible ideas!  They are standing at a glass wall that overlooks a city street- we waited patiently for the light to turn green and the cabs to roll on by!  Great idea Shannon, such a cool nod to our bustling city!

Shannon and Jeff, thank you for such a great time and for adding your own creative ideas to the shoot and also being willing to try out mine!  It was a blast for me!!  And Jeff… I know it wasn’t that bad for you!  You certainly got a ton of kisses!!
