Stage 6 Steiner Studios Wedding- Lindsay and John!

Wayyyyyyy up high, Lindsay got ready for her wedding day at the Millenium Hilton across from where the Twin Towers once stood. I first met Lindsay and John on their engagement shoot over on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I instantly noticed big smiles and a soccer ball too! It was fun getting to know them. I loved seeing the spark in Lindsay’s eyes with her competitive side as they tossed the ball back and forth. But my favorite observation as a photographer was the way John looked at Lindsay with such heartfelt and genuine love. You’ll see it’s in the pictures, very tender and endearing!  I can’t wait for you to see this sweet, fun, romantic wedding with a roaring celebration too!  OH and hands down but chairs up, the highest energy level Hora of my career! The views were stunning and had even the New Yorkers ooohing and awwing!I adored Lindsay’s dress, so elegant with clean modern lines and endless buttons on the back!Lindsay’s Mom did the honors and made the sash into a perfect bow!I love this picture of Lindsay and her Mom!The girls boarded the limo bus and headed off to Dumbo to meet the boys! While Lindsay was downtown getting ready, back uptown at their apartment on 47th street the boys were trying to figure out how to do bow ties!Lindsay’s brother used YouTube for help! Finally all dressed and so dapper looking! The boy’s limo bus was really decked out, laser lights and all 😉John, looking so handsome, waits for his first look with Lindsay!Upon arrival at Dumbo, although we counted 6 bridal parties and the filming of a rap video, we were able to find a private area for Lindsay and John to see each other.  We got John in position and let Lindsay approach him.  It was very sweet and adorable and had me tearing up behind the camera! So much love between these too, such an honor to photograph it.Even John’s feet were dressed up for the wedding day!The bridal party and family members could not be detained anymore and there was such a greeting of big smiles and huge hugs, such a close group!Loved this new colorful mural down in Dumbo. Thrilled the rappers were not into produce! The beautiful flowers were done by Seaport Flowers. The guys! The ladies plus little photo bombers! We headed over to another area with these tall arches for a more classical look.  Thank you bridal party for being so willing! We sent the bridal party back to the bus to get nutty with the laser lights and spent some more time with the soon-to-be newlyweds, exploring further parts of Dumbo. Then it was time, the clock was ticking and we headed to Steiner Studios for the main event! I love this image captured by Greg!  Steiner Studios, home to many movies and red carpet events!Which the lovely ladies glammed up on for one last picture before going in!The chuppa was so unique, created with tree branches and baby’s breath. So simple and yet truly stunning! While the guest were arriving, Lindsay was back in a room with her ladies and family, all smiles of course!Grandma was there beaming at her every move!Yep, even joking around seconds before her wedding!  Love it!The wedding started with John and his father walking down the aisle. The flower girl, though too shy to walk alone, certainly executed her job perfectly of bringing smiles to everyone’s faces!Lindsay is escorted down the aisle by her mother and stepfather.I loved how dramatic the scene was with the modern ceiling and then the very natural chuppa.  Of course always nice to see the Empire State Building out the window!Lindsay and John listen to each other’s vows. Then the exchange of rings with beaming smiles and teary eyes!I love the look of anticipation on Lindsay’s face as John’s foot is about to break the glass!Kiss the bride!!Susannah Gill-Photographic Storytelling-Steiner Studios Stage 6 Wedding Photography-1078

What a cake! Beautiful and elegant with a twist of comedy at the top- just like Lindsay and John! With everyone on their feet and cheering, the newlyweds were announced onto the dance floor for their first dance. My passion for photographing hands continues! After a few minutes guests were asked to join them on the dance floor. The Cafe Wha? band was amazing!Oh the Hora!  There is no way these images can capture the fun and pace of this Hora!John’s looking a little unsure!Amazing! Job well done by all!Photo booth fun by Candid Shots 4 U! It was then time for the speeches, one of my favorite parts of a wedding!  Lindsay’s two maid of honors started off and spoke so loving from the heart.Possibly my favorite “doubler” of all time! Love those double hug pictures!John’s best man was next and had everyone in hysterics recalling the beginning days of Lindsay and John!Susannah Gill-Photographic Storytelling-Steiner Studios Stage 6 Wedding Photography-1128Lastly Lindsay’s stepfather took the floor and certainly melted everyone’s hearts! It was time to cut the cake and though it looked iffy at first, they played it nice!John with his new wife at his side then thanked everyone for all that they have done and for coming to the wedding. As if the cake wasn’t enough! It was now time to dance and the little flower girl hit the dance floor!Susannah Gill-Photographic Storytelling-Steiner Studios Stage 6 Wedding Photography-1102It’s not a fun wedding without a dance circle!Lindsay and John, such an amazing day!
