Summer Pictures- 2 girls and their Golden!
Recently, I had the joy of photographing two young sisters here in El Dorado Hills, along with their one-year-old Golden Retriever. If you’ve ever met a young Golden, you already know what came next—lots of running, wagging, laughing, and a little bit of joyful chaos! Honestly, it was the perfect match because these sweet sisters had just as much energy as their furry best friend!
The girls chased their dog through the fields, shared hugs, burst into giggles, and occasionally paused long enough for a cuddle before everyone was off running again- all in golden light and tall grasses! The sweet pup can be seen here doing her best trick, “paw”!
These are the sessions I love most because they aren’t about asking children to sit perfectly still or smile on command. They’re about celebrating who they are right now. Childhood moves so quickly, and every season brings a new version of our kids. Before we know it, the little hand that reaches for yours is suddenly driving a car or heading off to college. With my own kiddo going into 10th grade, I can confirm, the older they get the faster it seems to go!
Family photographs aren’t just pictures for today—they’re gifts for your future selves. Years from now, these sisters won’t just remember what they looked like. They’ll remember how it felt to run through the grass with their beloved Golden Retriever, soaking in the carefree magic of a summer evening!
