Well I usually don’t start a wedding post like this (computer screen shot!) but I just wanted to highlight what poor Tiffany had to fret about (me too) for the days leading up to her wedding!!! Could you imagine!? And you know the news turned this into, “The Super Storm of the Century”!
But Tiffany has good weather karma because… on a perfect early summer day, I mean PERFECT, Tiffany and Chris got married!
We started with the lovely ladies at the Bryant Park Hotel!
Tiffany’s dress, created by Lusan Mandongus was like no other that I have ever seen. It was so elegant and had truly unique modern touches such as the placement of the bow in the back.
Curious? Our bride, in the black tank top was not fussing over herself, instead she was busy at the table making some fun favors for her friends attending the wedding!
This was by far one of the funniest moments of getting ready. Someone noticed that wayyyyyy down below there was anther bride having pictures taken, so of course everyone leaped up to check out her dress. It was unanimous that Tiffany’s was better! It’s a girl thing for all you boys reading this! How gorgeous are these bridesmaids? I adored their Vera Wang dresses, so classy and fun!
Thank you ladies for trusting me to lay below you and get this shot!
When Tiffany was all ready except for a few final details she called her Mom in from the other room, the reaction was priceless!
And then the room erupted in laughter when Tiffany’s Mom proclaimed that Tiffany looked HOT!
Tender moments like this are such an honor to photograph. Tiffany you do look HOT and beautiful and elegant and stunning and…
On to the guys who were figuring out how to get ready at Chris’ apartment!
Ahhh, as I said, guys figuring out how to get ready! Just love their perplexed faces!
A little birdie told me that after the written direction didn’t help, YouTube was consulted to make a one point fold!
I love this! Chris’ to do list before he leaves for his wedding!
Looking very handsome and ready for his first look with Tiffany in Bryant Park!
Waiting for the bride, the poor grooms are always made to wait in position but it’s always worth it!
With their friends and family in the crowd watching, Tiffany carefully headed towards Chris.
It’s amazing how even with all the craziness of the city to have this private romantic moment! That’s what true NYCers do so well!
We pulled the happy couple away from everyone to focus on photographs of just them before their wedding ceremony.
I loved how Tiffany would fix things here and there and Chris would just smile sweetly at her!
The flowers for the wedding were perfect, wait til you see the tables!! All magnificently created by Bride & Blossom.
I love this image so much, their hands say it all.
Can you find the bride and groom in this NYC scene?
It was then time to meet the bridal party again! Gratefully, we had enough time to really have fun with this bridal party!
How sweet is this? It wasn’t even set up! While I was photographing the girls they naturally just stood around in this way!
The handsome men!
Always laughing, such a fun group!
As the park started to fill up with late afternoon sunbathers, the guests started to arrive as well. There was tons of excitement in the air as the ceremony was about to start!
Chris walked down the aisle with his mother.
Then Tiffany was escorted down by her father.
The officiant, Tulis McCall, asked Tiffany and Chris to take a moment and soak in all the love and support that was there for them!
Everyone bowed their heads in prayer.
The proud family members looked on!
How adorable are these two listening to each other’s vows!
And finally the moment everyone waits for! Kiss the bride!!!
Perfectly placed at the end of the aisle, bubbly for the group! Congratulations Tiffany and Chris!
While everyone was happily celebrating on the roof top of the Bryant Park Grill, I was able to photograph the stunning details of the reception room.
The flowers were just sensational, even down to the tiniest of details such as above, little flower arrangements at the bar.
At each place setting was a gift from Tiffany and Chris as a token of their appreciation for celebrating with them!
Oh that cake! Yes I probably could have photographed it for hours! Amazingly created by in-house pastry chef Anne-Marie Noonan!
Just one more! The photograph that always makes everyone nervous! Don’t worry I was hanging from the ceiling perfectly safe!
We decided to steal Tiffany and Chris away for just a few moments so we could photograph them again, now that her dress was unbustled!
Look at that happiness!
Chris you held that bouquet like a real trooper, one of your first husband duties!
The guests were now all seated and ready to welcome Tiffany and Chris into their celebration!
Tiffany and Chris (and most of their friends) are huge lovers of EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Their first dance is the acoustic version of a trance song by their favorite trance artists (Above & Beyond). They are such diehard fans of this music that Tiffany waited to select her wedding date based on the dates of on her favorite EDM festivals! She planned it perfectly that 2 weeks after their wedding they could go to one of them!!
Everyone sat back and enjoyed the beautiful evening, socializing with friends and family and eating delicious food!
It was then time for the maid of honor to make her toast!
The best man took his turn making everyone laugh!
Cheers!!!
I adore this amazing moment so incredibly captured by Charles, my collaborating photographer for this wedding!
Tiffany and Chris then cut the cake and true to their style, they laughed and kissed and enjoyed this wedding tradition!
Not only did guests get the yummy wedding cake but they were spoiled rotten as Bryant Park Grill loves to do with delicious desserts!
The night was finally upon us so I headed outside to see the lights on Bryant Park Grill.
A special surprise was seeing the Empire State through the building, I thought its colors were perfect for the party you are about to see inside!!!
Remember what the bridesmaids and Tiffany were busy making in the hotel!? They are called “Kandi” and are part of the whole EDM fun!
And with the DJ doing his thing, everyone certainly had fun!
Tiffany switched into a dress that she could dance in!
And she did, at the command of her friends did a dance called “Shuffling,” a popular EDM move!
We pulled the newlyweds out one more time for a quiet moment perfectly lit by the gorgeous city lights! Congratulations Tiffany and Chris!!!!
Special thanks to Charles of Charles Eames Photography for collaborating with me on this wedding and doing a fabulous job!
Wow! Love these photos. What a beautiful couple!! The last shot of the couple kissing in the twilight/midnight may be my favorite.
The cake is incredible. You should be a food photographer as well.
Look out Bon Appetit!
What great weather you ended up with! I always love all the details that you capture throughout the day, every moment and image always so beautiful composed and captured 🙂
I’m drooling right now! These are stunning. How I would love to shoot in New York. They will treasure these forever! 🙂
