Most of my clients come to me feeling a mix of excited and slightly nervous. They want to look polished and professional—but still like themselves. Not stiff, not overly posed… just natural, confident, and approachable.

First things first—what’s the difference between a headshot and a branding session?

A headshot is typically a clean, professional image (perfect for LinkedIn, business profiles, or speaking engagements). A branding session goes a bit deeper. It tells the story of who you are and what you do, often with multiple outfits, settings, and even props that reflect your work and personality.

Now let’s talk about the question I get all the time… what should you wear?

The best advice? Keep it simple and true to you. Solid colors photograph beautifully, and I always recommend bringing a few options so we can create variety. And don’t worry—I help guide you through all of that before your session so you’re not figuring it out alone. Many clients will send me some iPhone snaps of their outfits!

And if you’re thinking, “I’m awkward in photos”… I hear this constantly—and I promise, you are not.

It is not your job to know how to pose. That’s my job 😊 I guide you every step of the way so you feel comfortable, natural, and confident. Most clients leave saying, “That was actually fun,” which is always the goal.

One of the things my clients love most is that my studio offers both indoor and outdoor options. We can capture clean, classic studio images and then step outside into a beautiful courtyard setting for something a little more relaxed and natural—all in one session. I will take a variety of images and you only have to purchase the ones you love!
