This year we bought a house and with the house came an American Flag. We have proudly kept it up and it serves as a daily reminder of just how lucky we are to live here in America.
If you have not served (we have not) or have not been part of a military family (again, we are not), it’s hard to fully understand the dedication and sacrifice that goes into allowing America to be free country. I have no idea what it must be like and all the emotions that come with it. I won’t pretend to understand but what I can do is feel great gratitude.
We do not and will not ever take our freedom for granted. In my travels, I have met women who are not allowed to have their own business such as I do. I have met women who cannot choose what clothes they wear, what God they worship, where their children go to school, what person they marry. The list can go on and on.
We thank from the bottom of our hearts all the soldiers that are currently serving or that have served this country in the past and their families. Today we are especially grateful for those who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
Such an inspirational post! I think a lot of people take our freedom here in the United States for granted. Thanks to all those who have served in our military past and present!
