I loath taking down the holiday decorations and every year we postpone it longer than most. Yesterday we decided it was time to tackle the job. I put a video on for Jax and got the storage boxes out. But Jax showed us a better way!!! He jumped off the couch and started to take the decorations down! Jax was so excited to help and told me little stories about the ornaments like he was an old man! “Mama, remember this one from when I was LITTLE?!” We were having so much fun we decided to turned on The Chipmunks Christmas album, warm up some chili, pour some cocktails and have a blast! Taking down the decorations might have been ALMOST as fun as putting them up!
*And for those of you who have asked about our tree- since we moved to California, each year we buy a real tree that we can plant outside after the holidays! One day we hope to have a forest of Christmas trees! This tree was a Leyland Cypress and we named her Jingle! She has now joined her new friends outside named: Nicky, Merry and Merrily! For the record the boys tried to name Jingle something different…can you guess? Yes, Darth Vader. Let’s just say not all dreams come true at Christmas 😉
