We found our beautiful 2020 Christmas Tree!!! Tree Farm? NO! Lowes? No!
Here’s the story- Jaxson is a 4th grade this year. Did you know that every 4th grader in America can be part of the Every Kid Outdoors program? Are you like me and didn’t even know what this was?
“Every Kid Outdoors allows U.S. fourth-graders and family members free access to over 2,000 federal lands and waters so you can discover our wildlife, resources, and history. Every Kid Outdoors creates crucial connections to public lands and inspires a future generation of stewards for America’s spectacular national parks and other public lands.”
National Parks charge $35 to enter so this is a wonderful perk for families.
The other perk- each 4th grader can go cut a tree!! And that’s what we did! We headed up into the El Dorado Forest and found us this beauty! Be sure to get the permit first!
We can thank Obama who created this wonderful program when he was president!
*This program was extended to all 5th graders since their year was cut short due to Covid!
Stay tuned for how the tree looks all fancied up!
Happy Holidays!
Love it!!
