Meghan and Joey’s Irish themed Wedding part 2!!! Let the party begin! If you happened to miss part one you can check it out here.
After the beautiful traditional wedding ceremony, the tempo changed as the bridal party and family boarded the bus and headed to the Irish Bar Meghan and Joey had rented for their portraits! I love this image of Meghan sitting with her new father in law and they share a laugh!
We had some fun on the actual bar with the bride and groom and the HUGE bridal party! Then Meghan and Joey headed upstairs for some alone time and some….
Kissing…
Hugging…
Squeezing…
and of course, some Guinness!!
Love!
Off to the reception at the Hartford Society Room! The tables were beautifuly decorated with tall vases filled with Bells of Ireland created by the florist Cedar Mountain.
Meghan and Joey both went to school at Butler University and added a personal touch to the affair by using the names of places they hung out at while at school as table names!
An Irish poem created by Meghan’s aunt was on display. It was so perfect for the occasion!
Another clever detail Meghan and Joey had was their guest book. It was designed to be like an old fashion scroll. Guests signed their names with a feather pen!
The gorgeous bride and groom descended down onto the dance floor for their first dance as man and wife- it was like out of a movie!
There were several speeches from family members. One that was particularly touching was by Meghan’s twin, Caitlin. Caitlin was so moved during the delivery of her speech she was struggling to get her words out. Meghan stood up and joined her twin and together they read the words Caitlin had composed.
And the fun begins!
Joey dances with his Mom and then…
…is joined on the dance floor by his family! Joey is also one of 5 siblings!
At each Lenehan wedding, the youngest of the 5 girls performs! She is an AMAZING Irish dancer! She flys across the dance floor and its a wonder at all that we can capture any moment!
Another Lenehan tradition…playing guitar on each others legs…
I don’t know for a fact but I have a pretty good feeling that this was a Bon Jovi song!
Married and ecstatic! Congratulations to Meghan and Joey!!!!!
